We are seeking to appoint a highly organised and professional individual to provide proactive personal assistance to our Assistant Heads (Pastoral) on a full-time basis during term time (plus 4 weeks additional non-term time support).

Within this role you will manage all administrative tasks to support both the Assistant Head (Student Welfare) and the Assistant Head (Pastoral and Staff) both of whom play an integral role within the school pastoral and safeguarding team.
You will be required to manage phone calls and enquiries from a wide range of people, including students, parents, staff, and external agencies, so a friendly and adaptable communication style is key. You will need to adapt to changing situations, often at short notice, whilst remaining calm and focused under pressure. Your exceptional planning, organisation, and communication skills will enable you to be proactive in managing diaries to ensure optimum use of time.
To be successful in this position, previous experience in a PA role is essential, specifically in a role where you will have dealt with highly confidential information. You will have experience of working in fast moving environment, with a flexible approach to managing the demands and priorities of senior level team members. You should be proficient in the use of all Microsoft packages for producing internal and external comms, and used to communicating with individuals at all levels.
The exact hours of work are 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday, during term time with an additional 4 weeks to be worked in the school holidays. Non-term time hours can we worked flexibly with the possibility of some remote working. In the case of emergency situations, occasional evening or weekend work may be needed, for which you will receive time off in lieu. An understanding of safeguarding within a school environment would be advantageous.

The full-time equivalent salary for this position is circa £25,000 per annum depending on experience. This is pro-rated for part-year working.
