IT Manager (or Head of IT)

29 Jul
£34,000.00 - £40,000.00 per annum

We need an inspirational and aspirational individual to lead on all aspects of IT. The IT Manager will shape and drive IT strategy and will play a crucial role in the selection, implementation and management (technical and infrastructure) of IT.

We are looking for somebody inspirational and aspirational to join our team to lead on all aspects of IT.

In 2020 the School was recognised by Microsoft Education as an Industry Leader for Remote Learning following the launch of our highly successful Home Learning platform. We now wish to bring in a dedicated IT specialist to build on this momentum and conceive and deliver a new IT strategy for our forward-thinking and aspirational city-centre school.

This is a brand-new post for the School, and reflects our commitment to providing the best possible future-ready curriculum to our pupils and the best possible working environment, support and efficiency for our staff. The IT Manager will hold management and technical responsibilities related to all areas of the School’s IT.

The successful candidate will have a genuine opportunity to shape and drive our nascent IT strategy, and will play a crucial role in the selection, implementation and management (technical and infrastructure) of information technologies. S/he will be championed by an ambitious and supportive Senior Leadership Team.

We welcome applications from all backgrounds (although an appreciation of the particular requirements for school-based IT would be an advantage), and are able to consider appointing an IT Manager or, for candidates who are also able to offer teaching, a Head of IT. Part-time and full-time will be considered with a salary of £34,000 – 40,000 FTE.

A job description and person specification will be available soon. Further information about the appointment process and requirements may be obtained from the Support Services Office Administrator, Mrs Rosie Hankin: Information about the School may be found at

The deadline for applications is 12 noon on Wednesday 29 June 2022. Interviews for shortlisted candidates are likely to take place during the week beginning 4 July 2022. Early applications are encouraged: the School reserves the right to interview and appoint at any time. Please note that all completed application forms and accompanying letters of application should be sent to Mrs Rosie Hankin:
