The successful candidate will have previous experience of providing administrative support in a busy office environment and experience of database administration, ideally in a school or education setting. They will be able to multi-task and prioritise their own workload with good attention to detail. The school office is a busy environment, and all members of the team are required to use their initiative, dealing with walk-in or phone enquiries from members of staff, pupils, parents and members of the public. It is essential that the candidate is committed to the ESMS values and is a team player.
This is a permanent, full-time position for 36.25 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm with 45 minutes unpaid for lunch). The salary range is £26,172 - £28,656 on the ESMS Support Staff Salary Scale G, dependent upon relevant experience and qualifications.

Holiday: Entitlement is to 30 days’ annual holiday leave, plus 10 days’ statutory holiday at Christmas and Easter, when the schools are closed. The schools’ holiday year runs from January to December
Location: The postholder will be based at Stewart’s Melville College on Queensferry Road.
Eligibility: ESMS is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. International applicants will therefore be unable to apply for and secure a Skilled Worker visa. The successful candidate will only be able to take up this role if they can demonstrate an alternative right to work in the UK.
Pension: Candidates will be enrolled automatically into the Merchant Company Stakeholder Pension Scheme.
